Why St. Anne?

St. Anne School was established in 1920 by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Catholic faith foundation is woven into all our subjects and activities. Today, we continue our tradition of excellence in our school programs extending from Preschool through Eighth Grade.

St. Anne offers strong academics, balanced student life, and active parent participation. St. Anne School resonates with a warm community of students, teachers, parents, and parish that build positive lifelong friendships.

Why should you consider St. Anne School?

Strong Academic Program

Exceptional Teaching Staff

At St. Anne School, we pride ourselves on our exceptional teaching staff. They are carefully screened and credentialed, with many earning master’s degrees. Our reputation in teaching excellence stems from our instructional process, which has evolved over decades of experience. Several of our teachers have taught solely at St. Anne for most of their careers while generously sharing their valuable expertise with our next generation of teachers. Our approach comprises academic standards set forth by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and certified by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA). St. Anne also implements its base of established best practices and encourages teacher innovation in the classrooms.

Math and Science Emphasis

We offer strong academics with a math and science emphasis. In addition to daily class instruction, math is enhanced using computer-based instruction, Smartboards, and online resources for students to practice at home. Science is introduced as early as Kindergarten and taught in grades K-4. Our science teacher works with grades 4-8.

Personalized Instruction with Small Class Sizes

We offer personalized instruction, enabling teachers to better respond to each student’s progress. Classes range from 20-26 students for K-5 grades and 30-35 students for 6-8 grades. Although St. Anne maintains academically challenging programs, they support students’ individual educational needs.

Teacher Support

We have full-time aides in Kindergarten and half-time aides in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4, providing additional support and personalized student attention.

Balanced Student Life

Strong academics are only part of the picture. St. Anne School offers sports programs and a variety of enriching extracurricular activities. Through the St. Anne’s Athletic Department and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) sports, we offer basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball to students in grades 3-8. We also provide music and multicultural programs. These programs challenge and enhance personal development, physically and emotionally, to bring out the best in children.

Strong Student Body

We are proud of our strong student body, where each child’s gifts are nurtured. We promote community involvement and citizenship with our active Student Council and Student Family Groups among students at each grade level and offer the Partner Classes program.

Computer Technology

We offer strong technology programs utilizing SmartBoards in the classrooms and laptop computers for students. iPads are appropriately used in Kindergarten.

Exceptional School Facilities and Amenities:

  • wireless high-speed internet access throughout the school
  • updated computerized library housing over 11,000 books
  • Moriarty Hall – a beautiful banquet hall with a stage and full kitchen

Before and After school programs

Many parents appreciate our Before and After School programs. Starting at 7:00 am, we offer morning care until school opens at 8:00 am.

Our After School programs include: tennis, chess, instrumental band, theater (Sunshine Band – Kids’ Stock), art, piano, choir, robotics, and foreign language.

Parent Community: Active, Supportive, and Welcoming

At St. Anne, we recognize the importance of family and offer many community-building activities throughout the year. One of the most significant events we host is the annual Walk-A-Thon, where the entire school walks to raise funds for the school and enjoy a day of fun at a barbecue picnic. In our monthly SAPTO gatherings, we serve family dinners and provide free child care during meetings. St. Anne offers many social opportunities for students, parents, and teachers. Join our family!
